JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting RA customers during the complete life cycle of the equipment. This assistance may be to identify and correct hardware or software discrepancies, programming installation, application, maintenance, start-up, training and diagnostics.
Responsible for project technical and delivery on control and electrical systems through the planning, design, implementation, testing and commissioning phases.
Works with project managers / business lead on planning, delivering assigned projects on time, budget and scope.
On specific projects, may be required to supervise a team of engineers in the execution of project delivery, which includes design, implementation, testing and customer-site commissioning
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for assigned projects / assignment and ensure the realization in terms of scope, timeline, cost and customer satisfaction as per project requirement.
Provide technical assistance and field service to customers by performing one or more of the following :
Provide customer coordination of RA products and systems by performing the following functions :
Provide proper reporting of technical, administrative and accounting information as required.
Provide technical assistance to sales and customer personnel on product applications to include alternatives, recommendations, explanations, surveys, etc.
to meet the customer’s requirements.
Make recommendations for product improvements, especially as they affect operations and reliability of RA products.
Assist in training customers and RA personnel in the application, operation, adjustment and proper maintenance of RA equipment.
Provide feedback concerning safety and liability issues as it relates to the application of RA products.
Maintains assigned equipment to insure good operating conditions and calibration.
Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws.
Policies and procedures include, but not limited to : Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.
g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published on the Rockwell Automation Information Network.
Other duties to be assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
Provide the suggestion or guideline solutions to Field Service engineer for high complexity technical issues.
Accountable for individual resource scheduling to maximize utilization
Others
Ensure compliance to Ethics, Standards of Business Conduct, Safety, Information Technology and other RA policies and the relevant government regulations in the geography.
Any other relevant duties as assigned by immediate Manager
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
REQUIRED INDUSTRY AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Typically 5-10 years’ experience in Electrical, Control and Automation projects, which includes designing, consulting, implementing and commissioning
Typically possesses broad application / technical knowledge relevant to assigned business team
Possess PLC, Drives, SCADA or any RA related products experience.
Good to have Project Management experience.
Must have a good understanding of industrial control systems (preferably Rockwell Automation solutions), IT / OT infrastructure, MES
Experience working in complex / EPC environments advantageous
Must be able to effectively work in a multi-disciplinary team
Experience with MS Office software products Excel, Word, Project, Visio, etc.
