Responsibilities :
Develop and design Memory architectures
Define, together with system architects, the specification of the block to be designed starting from standard definitions.
Model your block using high level behavioral languages like Verilog A, system Verilog, etc..
Manage the activity of engineers reporting to this position
Grow the design and layout activities of specific projects
Execute specific working packages according to the deadline interacting with Project Management.
Execute Design and Layout Reviews and create documentation.
Cooperate with the development team on continuous improvement activities (methodologies, checklist, working instructions) and contribute to Technology and Design Methodology improvements.
Design, develop, modify and evaluate analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog and mixed signal electronic equipment and other hardware systems.
Complete design approaches and parameters.
Evaluate equipment to establish operating data.
Conduct experimental tests and evaluates results.
Select components and equipment based on review of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development.
Mentor and train engineers
Support for evaluation and verification of silicon
Documentation (Datasheet sections, design reports) - Support analysis of field problems
Performing technical reviews and system concept evaluation
Cooperate with the other teams on continuous improvement activities
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Perform other related responsibilities as required.
Authority :
Establishes operational goals and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates.
Senior management reviews targets to settle success of operation.
Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
Manages activities sections or departments.
Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing. In some instances, this manager may have subordinate supervisors.
Requirements :
Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, computer sciences or a comparable qualification
10 to 15 years or more of experience in digital design, mixed signal devices integration
Knowledge in digital design and verification methodologies
Good knowledge of the stages of the ASIC design flow and related main EDA tools
Good knowledge of digital signal processing
Knowledge of embedded microprocessor based systems
Experience in design and implementation of complex digital IC modules
Excellent knowledge of hardware description languages and deep experience in RTL coding, (System Verilog preferred)
Advanced skills in rationale simulation and design verification
Self-motivated, self-directed, detailed oriented and well organized
Ability to network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Excellent critical and problem solving skills along with attention to details.
Can develop a document, report or presentation for a range of tasks
Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Shared point and Outlook
Self-motivated, self-directed, detailed oriented and well organized
Ability to head / mentor trainees and engineers as well as drive and manage projects.
A excellent command of English both verbal and written
