Job Description

Position Summary : The Cloud Administrator oversees a number of key functions within the IT department that enable the delivery of a high quality local network and connectivity with cloud hosting, an optimized cloud infrastructure and a smooth integration throughout the whole enterprise system.

  • Key Duties & Responsibilities : Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following;
  • Technical

  • Administer and configure monitoring platforms to ensure optimal performance and alerting capabilities;
  • Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively;
  • Contribute to SME (Subject Matter Expert) for technical validation on new projects

    Be responsible to maintain & optimize the whole cloud infrastructure, working with vendor to ensure it stable

    Be responsible for Cloud migration, implementation project

    Research new technology, new solution to support business departments

  • Design and architect all changes to networks and system;
  • Be responsible for business continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation;
  • Work within strict timeframes and elevate incidents within defined timeframes;
  • Resolve issues and prepare status reviews and reports;
  • Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modifications;
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends;
  • Maintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendor to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contract;
  • Assist the IT Support team to ensure resolution of all issues are in line with Service Level

    Documentation

    Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures

    Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation including system training manuals

    Develop and maintain system training manuals and conduct documentation handover for the whole system.

    Ensure all documents are written using clear and concise language that can be communicated to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications / Memberships :

    ITIL Qualified

    CCNA certified or equivalent level of knowledge.

    MCSA certified or equivalent level of knowledge.

    VMware Certified Professional or equivalent level of knowledge.

    Desired

    Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator or equivalent level of knowledge.

    Microsoft Azure Certified DevOps Solutions or equivalent level of knowledge.

    Experience :

    Experience in a similar technical role

    Experienced Service Management professional

    Experience in implementation of DRP

    Experience in troubleshooting complicated issues, resolve major incidents

    Previous experience in a 24 7 high-availability production environment

    Experience of working on network equipment in an ISP environment, a large NOC or other such company associated with networking.

    Experience in Cloud Networking Direct Connect / VPC, NACL’s, security groups

    Exposure to running projects effectively is essential

    Knowledge & Skills : Essential

    Essential

    In depth knowledge of TCP / IP LAN / WAN networking technologies and troubleshooting techniques

    Good technical background including active directory, networking, cloud services, virtualization, scripting, CI / CD

    Able to design Azure landing zone

    Linux / UNIX skills is a plus

    Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    Exceptional communication skills (written, presentation and verbal)

    Strong attention to detail and high standard of quality for deliverable creation

    Strong customer focus and demonstrates a service oriented culture

    Pro-active in identifying opportunities for improvement within the business and taking ownership of actions

    A self-starter, is capable of adjusting behavior in different scenarios and is capable of managing own time.

    High level of initiative with ability to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously and with conflicting priorities.

    Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities

    A passion for Service Improvement

    Knowledge of ITIL disciplines

    Willingness to support and mentor junior staff

    Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

    Able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility including shift and out of hours working

    Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts is required.

    Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets is required.

    Ability to establish strong relationships internally.

    Good understanding of the organization’s technology direction.

    Strong technical documentation / interpretation skills.

    Problem analysis skills.

    Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives.
