  • Demonstrate skill in leadership, initiatives, problem solving, prioritizing, delegation, training &developing subordinates, goal setting & being goal oriented.
  • Provide a professional, advisory and executive support service to assist in meeting the strategic goals of the establishment.
  • Prepare the daily work assignment Conducts daily briefing with associates
  • Maintain all the records
  • Monitor the room cleaning & procedure
  • Ensure the VIP / long stay rooms are inspected
  • Inspect all renovation / under repair rooms.
  • Communicates daily with the Housekeeping Supervisor on all activities of the department.
  • Implement strategies aimed at cost minimisation, productivity maximisation without reduction of Quality Standards. Monitor the expenses of the department.
  • Daily check of all public areas and guest corridors.
  • Report maintenance faults and damage to furniture and fittings in all areas of the hotel to the maintenance department.
  • Accurately document lost property (records) and organize distribution of unclaimed items.
  • Attend promptly to all guest complaints and requests.
  • Complete and update annually Standards and Procedures for the Housekeeping Department.
  • Ensure preparation of cleaning schedule for the return of all out of order rooms.
  • Monthly linen and towelling stock to be taken.
  • Maintain a cleaning roster.
  • Oversee the inspection of VIP or Vacant Clean rooms.
  • Prepare the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.
  • Implement opportunities for quality Team Building.
  • Ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.
  • Implement and maintain training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.
  • Comply with all Hotel Standards and Procedures.
  • Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and associates alike.
  • Monitor the expenses of the department.
  • Ensure Preventive maintenance is going in all rooms, public area
  • Report to : General Manager

  • Experience : At least 2-3 years working in senior position in Housekeeping area.
  • Performs management functions of scheduling staff / monitoring and evaluating work performance / praises and disciplines staff as appropriate.
  • Coordinate department’s activities to facilitate high levels of inter-departmental communication & cooperation / guest satisfaction.
  • Must be familiar with all hotels procedures, regulations.
