  • But we are just getting started! We have much room for improvement and many ideas that will further shape the industry.The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing Ninja Van’s third-party warehousing and fulfillment operations in Malaysia;
  • which are key activities in our end-to-end logistics value chain. This is a very hands-on role, and the right candidate should have experience in a management or supervisory role within a warehouse, and be held accountable for overall warehouse operational performance and improving performance over time.

    Key Accountabilities

  • Operational Performance
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by managing end-to-end warehouse operations (receiving, inbound, putaway, picking, outbound)
  • Ensure all B2B and B2C are fulfilled (picked, packed and dispatched) accurately within the agreed SLA
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems; use a system to manage warehouse, e.g.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including, but not limited
  • Conduct training for warehouse associates on latest processes
  • Operational Evaluation
  • Gather and interpret qualitative and quantitative data in order to identify operational issues and gaps, and provide solutions to improve efficiency and adherence to service levels
  • Monitor and review workflow, manpower and space requirements, equipment layout, consumables usage while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Ensure that process documentation and training materials are updated as needed
  • Process Design and Improvement
  • Participate in warehousing design, establish and implement warehouse management procedures, quality control processes and various indicator systems
  • Continuously shape and improve existing warehouse operational processes with industry best practices, e.g. quality improvements, efficiency and process optimisation, cost reduction, etc.
  • Operational excellence; assess current warehouse operations and suggest improvements to better manage warehouse utilization, inventory handling and storage processes
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting
  • Establish, monitor and manage operational goals / KPIs for performance tracking and improvement
  • Develop, prepare and present reports (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly and / or ad hoc) to effectively convey operational performance
  • Assist in budget planning and cost tracking
  • Stakeholder Management and Reporting
  • Manage 3PLs / delivery partners for both inbound and outbound processes
  • Work with internal stakeholders including product team, regional operations, project, business development teams to ensure that system and process gaps are flagged, and that process changes are implemented effectively in the warehouse
  • Monitor warehouse performance with regular reporting and reviews for management purposes
  • Ad-hoc Project Execution
  • Identify and scope operational requirements for ad-hoc client requests to build / execute customized project-based process flows
  • Set up new warehouse / warehouse relocation
  • Key Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of operations management experience, preferably in logistics / supply chain industry
  • Prior experience in a warehouse working on logistics operations
  • Understanding of B2B / B2C warehousing and fulfilment as a service
  • Degree or equivalent, ideally in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Proficiency in English (Reading, Writing & Speaking)
  • Skills / Attributes

  • Highly organized and responsible individual
  • Strong people management skills
  • Willingness to work hands-on in a warehouse and help out with on-ground warehouse processes
