We’re looking for a Supplier Quality Auditor to qualify & monitor suppliers, verify finished goods and drive CAPA at the factory.
The Supplier Quality Auditor is an essential contribution to the Article QA team. Responsibilities and daily tasks include :
Conducting new supplier qualification audits as and when needed.
Conducting existing supplier monitoring audits per QA-Audit plan.
Pursuing the audit findings on systems and processes; assist suppliers in identifying weakness and resolving threats.
Customize QA-sampling plan for product type and supplier quality level; conduct finished goods verification at factory.
Audit & train 3rd party QC inspectors during finished goods AQL sample verification at factory.
Evaluate new product samples; verify product design changes on customized specimens at factory.
Conduct formal first-article inspections of prototypes / pilot production lots including final packaging, as per QA-FAI plan.
Conduct in-process inspections at CTQ & CTD check points in manufacturing, per QA-WIP-inspection plan.
Audit the product testing conducted in-house by manufacturers and by their 3rd party testing facilities.
Analyze major and / or systemic N / C Quality Claims, assist suppliers in RCI and CAPA; and pursue its implementation.
Collaborate with manufacturers in implementing Article initiated process improvements.
Participate in supplier evaluations and provide input for supplier scorecard system.
Function as the primary local contact for communicating all preventive and appraisal quality actions with suppliers.
Travel to manufacturing locations in Southeast Asia for onsite verifications and audits.
Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences, Math or Business.
ASQ-CQA or equivalent credential is preferred.
Familiarity with ISO 9000 QMS is preferred.
10 years experience in conducting Quality Systems Audits and Process Audits, in a goods manufacturing setting.
Sound knowledge of common materials used in furniture manufacturing and assembly.
Experienced in conducting QC inspections, product evaluations, recording deviations on N / C parts, and creating inspection reports.
Experienced in auditing labour intensive manufacturing processes.
Experienced in using measuring instruments and Furniture testing equipment.
Experienced in identifying issues & concerns, investigating root causes and developing corrective & preventive action plans.
Experienced in pursuing CAPA plans, and validating its implementation.
Intermediate user of MS / Mac Office applications, including databases and spreadsheet software.
Ability to overcome roadblocks and implement continuous improvement projects with manufacturers.
Possess a strong Quality and Conformance mindset.
Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to cross-check one's own work.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Effective verbal communication skills in Vietnamese.
Effective verbal communication skills in Mandarin is preferred.
Able and willing to reside permanently in Southeast Asia.
