The Role Responsibilities

SC Ventures (SCV) spearheads innovation across Standard Chartered. Included in SCV’s mandate will be to invest in FinTech’s and other start-up companies, promote rapid testing and implementation of new business models.

Solv Vietnam is set up as an e-commerce marketplace to transform the traditional B2B supply chain, supporting SMEs with easier and faster access to finance.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to speed up the development and delivery of fintech products. You will work with tech lead manager, product managers and developers to create the global supply chain finance (SCF) platform.

You will be able to work on high-impact, scalable, and complex business problems. You will use cloud technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular JS, AWS, and Kubernetes.

  • Working with CTO, Tech Lead Manager, Product Owners, and Developers to support and complete build on the fintech platform to successful global rollout.
  • Working closely with the engineering team to deploy and maintain the infrastructure.
  • Automate and streamline our operations and processes for scale.
  • Maintain SLAs by tuning systems according to scale.
  • Designing systems at scale to make sure solutions built are economical and secured.
  • Strong understanding of immutable infrastructure and infrastructure as code concepts.
  • Capable of leading a team of ops and ability of prepare and execute a vision.
  • Should be able to work Independently and execute tasks with precision.
  • Code, Build and Release management (CICD) using GIT / Bitbucket and Jenkins.

  • Governance

  • Act and escalate quickly when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through the relevant committees.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to establish applicable risk / control framework to ensure that the Group’s ability to remain within risk appetite is not materially threatened.
  • Familiarise self with governance structures and mandatory bank processes.

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Limited; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures
  • Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related
  • AWS certified DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience is advantage.
  • At least Three-year exp in microservices using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, EC2, ingress and Api gateways.
  • In-depth knowledge of Networks topology and cloud Security.
  • Well versed with at-least two scripting languages - Shell and one more (Python, Ruby). And CloudFormation.
  • Sound understanding of OS (Linux, CentOS) and OS hardening.
  • Code, Build and Release management (CICD) using GIT / Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Having the working knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana
  • Strong understanding of Amazon AWS Services
  • Experience and understand the concept of web application and its related technologies (RESTful API / SOAP, CDN, etc.)
  • Experience in operating highly intensive RDBMS / NoSQL databases and search engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
  • Experience with the source control and its related concepts (Git, Gitflow)
  • Familiar with Jenkins and other DevOps tools
  • Has knowledge of Docker / container technologies
  • Good knowledge of Java language
