The Role

Network specialist deploys and maintains IT network infrastructure for RMIT Vietnam. He / she is to monitor network security, and optimize capacity to manage the flow of information.

He / she performs network upgrades and fixes network errors at RMIT’s locations.

Your Responsibilities

Determining company needs and coordinating the development and maintenance of network infrastructures, including but not limited to : Wired, Wireless, Network Security, Traffic Management

Ensuring secure and stable connectivity and analysing network traffic flows.

Optimizing network performance.

Installing, updating, and configuring networking equipment.

Monitoring network capacity and performance to keep up with demand in online traffic.

Running diagnostic tests and performing repairs.

Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes, network topology and cabling layouts.

Keeping informed of developments in network technologies and infrastructure.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.

Certified Cisco CCNP, Aruba ACMP preferred.

A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in enterprise networking area. 2-3 years’ experience as network specialist.

Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Willingness to be onsite in RMIT’s locations.

Availability to perform works outside of business hours.

Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position and RMIT Values.
