The scope of this position mainly covers the following - focus on 1,2,3 :

1) Lead day to day data operation for PA countries in term of market measurement

  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate monthly market performance reporting needs to PA countries by closely collaborate with internal PA MI Team and external agencies to understand business needs, while setting direction for and leading day to day data operations, data QC, reporting in support of multiple business measurement approaches to facilitate business decisions and growth.
  • Explore and establish sustainable ways to measure the performance of emerging channels, eg M&B channel, Ethical channel, Ecom, ect
  • Collaborate with PA MI to constantly challenge the status quo of data provider to improve / enhance data quality as well as establishing modelling tools and / or developing new model / dashboards to provide true business insights behind the performance.
  • 2) Leverage BI tools and Other Applications to Conduct Data Analytics and Visualization in Dashboards and Reports

  • Routine reporting and Analysis of monthly market sale & share tracking
  • Leverage BI tools and other applications to design, develop and automate rich and interactive business intelligence dashboards and reports from sale share performance to other strategic initiatives (pricing strategic, omnichannel movement, ) to support and accelerate data-driven decision making
  • Write and develop relevant data models in BI applications to meet all requirements for standard and exceptional reports and dashboards for them to be delivered on time in full
  • Develop business insights, conclusions and recommendations as well as highlight risks, outliers, abnormalities, inconsistencies and inaccuracies based on data analytics to share with relevant stakeholders
  • Implements processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on
  • 3) Develop Advanced Data Analytics Methodologies and Statistic Models to generate actionable insight

  • Apply statistics and data modeling to gain actionable business insights and boost business (sale share) performance. This includes but not limited in predictive / simulation models to identify, validate and forecast trends, correlations as well as cause-effect relationships, etc
  • Support the PA countries, including Vietnam, on market trend, market size / share forecast for the financial RLBE cycles to drive business growth
  • Collaborate with internal key stakeholders & agencies to analyze the business, market and brand performance to facilitate business decision and drive insights into actions
  • Identify business opportunities through data analytics.
  • Oversee analytics projects (Strategic Pricing Analytics, Data Harmonization / Integration / Automation) to extract, manage and analyze sales / KPI data including support for strategy and planning as well as for business decision
  • 4) Act as a subject-matter expert, i.e. the "go-to person" for all things related to data and BI tool

  • Build capability throughout the organization by providing the right tools, right training, and right support structure to the right people
  • Continue research and developments to stay abreast of technological evolutions and trends in business intelligence
  • 5) Management Responsibilities

    a) Market Insight Management and Development

  • Provide feedback, coaching, learning and development opportunities to motivate and develop team members
  • Build and maintain a wining culture that drives performance, retains and attracts talents
  • Manage daily operation of Market Insight Analytics team
  • Works / connects closely with Global MI to develop and deliver strategy for PA and VN MI team
  • b) Business Intelligence Project Management

  • Engage with stakeholders to identify initiatives and form projects accordingly (with clear scope, budget and timeline for securing stakeholder alignment and management)
  • Drive and manage the execution of BI initiatives and projects
  • c) Vendor Management

  • Work with 3rd party data vendors (Nielsen, Kantar) and BI tool vendors to design the most suitable support programs to support the deployment and day to day data operation
  • Ensure above vendors to deliver the level of service commitment as mutually agreed in service contracts via specific KPIs
  • d) Budget Management

  • Prepare and manage the budget allocated for external data as well as operating and enhancing BI capability
  • Job Requirement :

  • University degree : Business intelligence / Business / Computer science qualifications
  • 1. Work Experience :

  • At least 5 years relevant experience in managerial / supervisory role in FMCG / nutrition / pharma / consulting industry
  • Relevant functional backgrounds include Market research measurement, Analytics including statistical forecasting and modelling, Database Marketing / Operations
  • Competent in BI technologies : At least 5-year experience in business intelligence, data analytics and visualization or developing, managing and operating BI tools (Power BI and Qlikview).
  • Advanced statistic knowledge : prescriptive, predictive, exploratory models
  • Advanced SQL skill at working with relational databases to write complex queries and stored procedures
  • 2. Core Skill Requirement :

  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to understand and apply analytical judgment.
  • Ability to develop new modeling, framework and apply new reporting and analytical tools for the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight and / or shifting deadlines; Ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact and manage time appropriately within a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication & Negotiation skills
  • Fluency in English
  • 3. Technical Skills :

  • Numeric and Analytics, details oriented
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Statistical programming (e.g., SAS), database querying (e.g., SQL),
  • Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI preferred / Tableau) and statistical program (e.g., SPSS, E-view)
